So we had three evenings in Boston, here are the reviews of three very different places we tried. All served fresh food with great service and at a reasonable price, all are on my recommended list and we would definitely go again.

Pho Mai

So on our first evening we were wandering round Boston and decided we wanted to try American Chinese, but were struggling to find somewhere, we asked a group of girls, unfortunately they were from New York, but they found us somewhere on Yelp. We found the Pho Mai in the Chinese District, we had a look at the menu in the window, whilst peeking through to see if it was busy or not, Pho Mai is Vietnamese and seemed to have a good oriental customer base, always a good sign. We go in and are seated straight away, we order a selection on dishes from the menu like we always do. The food is cooked fast and fresh to order. All the dishes we tried were very tasty. If you are in Boston and fancy Vietnamese then this place is the one to go to.

Boloco - Boston Common

The next night we found Boloco which serves Burritos. There are a number of these little places dotted around Boston, so wherever you are there is sure to be one near by. We wasn't sure what to expect or what to do, but the staff were really helpful and walked us through the process. I would liken it to a Subway, where your make choices, such as do you want a Burrito or a Burrito Bowl, then choose your meat, beef, chicken etc, then choose what additional fillings you want. We decided to try a Burrito and a Burrito Bowl. They both tasted sensational with plenty of filling and they really filled us up. They only disappointment for me was they didn't serve coffee, but it was no big deal. This was a really surprising find and I am glad we decided to avoid Chipotle and go here, the place was very busy, always go somewhere busy it is always a good sign in my book. Boloco is a must when visiting Boston, when we return to America and we see Boloco we will definitely be going again, highly recommended.

Going to Boloco also inspired us, I watched the YouTube video on how to roll a Burrito the correct way, not that I have fully mastered it yet, but we also now enjoy Burrito Bowls as home, thanks Boloco for a job well done!

The Cheesecake Factory

On our last day, we had found The Cheesecake Factory whilst wandering around the Prudential Centre. I said we had to try it because of our love of the Big Bang Theory. We weren't disappointed the service was excellent and the food was plentiful and tasted good. It certainly set us up from our journey back to the UK via Keflavik. We ordered a Bacon-Bacon Burger and a Macaroni & Cheese Burger, very yummy. We also ordered coffee and a tea (which seem to throw the waitress a little, I suspect it is a British thing having a cup of tea with a meal). We also had a slice of Lemon Meringue Cheesecake to share for afters, well you can't go to The Cheese Cake Factory and not try some, can you now, that would just be rude. Another recommend stop in Boston.
